About

Swarlipi

Sargam is the traditional notation system of Indian Classical Music — a way of writing melody using the seven swara syllables (Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni) in place of Western staff notation.

Swarlipi is a dedicated platform for Indian Classical Music notation, composition, and practice. It brings the full richness of Sargam — Shuddh, Komal, and Tivra swaras across Mandra, Madhya, and Taar saptaks — into a clean, modern interface built specifically for musicians.

Whether you are a student learning your first raag, a guru documenting decades of compositions, or a performer exploring new ideas, Swarlipi gives you the tools to write, organise, and share music the way Indian Classical tradition deserves — with precision, clarity, and respect for the notation system.

The platform supports all major taals, a library of over 42,000 compositions spanning Bollywood, Folk Tunes, Bhajan, and more, and a growing community of musicians across the world.
